Fifth Iowa Volunteer Cavalry

Ebenezer S. King was forty-four when he enlisted on March 25, 1864 in Company E of the Fifth Veteran Cavalry Consolidated. The Official Roster includes the cryptic comment "second enlistment." King remained with the regiment until it was mustered out at the conclusion of the war on August 11, 1865 at Nashville, Tennessee.
